BLT Sandwich with homemade wholewheat bread rolls
Try this quick recipe to make your own wholewheat bread rolls with fresh yeast. You can also use dry yeast if you don't have any fresh yeast. You can fill it with anything you like, we just felt like a BLT that day!
Ingredients ( 9 rolls)
750 g wholewheat flour
42 g fresh yeast
500 ml water, Lukewarm
10 g salt
30 g flaxseed
30 g pumpkin seed
bacon
tomatoes
baby spinach
mayonnaise
Method
Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
Mix yeast with water and mix salt with flour.
Combine and knead with a stand mixer or by hand till it is a smooth dough ball.
Flour a work surface and divide the dough into 9 pieces.
Roll into balls and place them on a parchment lined baking tray.
Brush with some water and sprinkle the seeds on top.
Bake for about 35 minutes.
Let them cool down a little bit before filling them with Bacon 🥓, mayonnaise, baby spinach & tomatoes 🍅!
