Crunchy Panko Chicken Waffles Recipe
This panko chicken waffles recipe is hitting all the right spots. I don't why it took me so long to cook this delicious & satisfying dish!
Ingredients panko chicken
4 chicken thighs
flour, egg, panko, salt for coating
Clarified butter for frying
Ingredients waffles (4-6)
350 ml milk
300 g flour
10 g salt
21 g baking powder (I like "tartar")
50 g sugar
2 eggs
80 g melted butter
maple syrup
Method
Flatten chicken thighs by beating it.
Season chicken with salt.
Prepare breading station - one plate of flour, a bowl with eggs and one plate with Panko breadcrumbs.
Dip each thigh in the flour, then the egg mixture and finally the Panko breadcrumbs.
Heat up clarified butter for frying. Test temperature with a small piece of chicken.
Fry chicken until the outside is nice and golden and the inside temperature is about 80 degrees Celsius.
Mix waffle ingredients till smooth.
Heat up waffle iron and cook waffles.
Assemble and pour maple syrup over the top.
