Australian Pork and Fennel Sausage Rolls
How to make Australian pork and fennel sausage rolls? These you can eat for dinner with the family or just take with you to work for lunch.
Ingredients
pork mince
fennel
carrots
onions
garlic
smoked paprika powder
fennel seeds
bread crumbs
puff pastry
clarified butter or oil
1 egg
black sesame seeds
salt, pepper
All amounts are depending on how many you would like to make and personal preference!
Method
Cut all vegetables into small pieces.
Sauté onions in a pan with clarified butter for 5 minutes.
Add chopped garlic and smoked paprika, cook for 2 minutes.
Do not forget to season with salt and pepper!
Add remaining vegetables and cook till caramelized. About 15 to 20 minutes.
Set aside to cool.
Toast fennel seeds in a dry pan till toasted.
Grind into a powder.
Once veggies are cooled combine with pork mince, fennel seed and bread crumbs in a bowl.
Beat an egg with water.
Put meat in pastry and roll it up.
