Death by Chocolate Cake

This is the easiest chocolate cake you will ever make. With only 5 ingredients and without flour this cake is super indulgent. If you are a chocolate lover, this will be your new favorite cake. We added some salt flakes on top, but it will also go well with nuts, ice cream or fresh fruits.

Death by Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

Chocolate dough

• 400 g dark chocolate, from 70%
• 5 eggs
• 250 g butter, unsalted
• 200 sugar
• pinch of salt
• flakey salt

Instructions

1. Start by serpsrating the egg whites and yolk.
2. Whip the egg whites to stiff peaks.
3. Beat eggs and sugar until foamy and add a pinch of salt.
4. Melt chocolate using the double boiler method (boiling water in pot with bowl on top with chocolate in it).
5. Once chocolate has melted add butter till melted too.
6. Fold egg yolk/sugar mixture in the butter/chocolate mixture.
7. Gentle fold in egg whites.
8. Put the mixture into a paper lined oven poof baking dish (approx. 26 cm).
9. Bake at 120 degrees for about 1 hour and 20 minutes in a water bath (water on the tray, for example).
10. As soon as it comes out of the oven add the flakey salt on top.
11. Let cool for a few hours to over night in the fridge.
